Stage 5. Chile

 

Our route through Chile can be divided into three stages.

 

In the first stage we visited Punta Arenas, Puerto Natales and the spectacular park of the Torres del Paine.

 

In the second we dared to drive almost all of the famous Ruta 7 or Carretera Austral.

 

And in the third we crossed the X  region, which was full of lakes, rivers and volcanoes until arriving at  Santiago, the capital of this country.

Neuquén

This is the first province of the Patagonian region.

Before arriving at the corridor of the lakes, that is the most tourist area of ​​this province, we discovered a road from which we fell in love, the provincial route 50 that goes from Piedra del Águila to Junín de los Andes.

Adventures on wheels

A couple of days ago we arrive to Piedra del Águila with three backpackers that we brought from Neuquén till here, Conni, Diego and Jona. Really nice to meet you, we wish you all the best! 

We stop in the YPF petrol station and we immediately saw a brown Steyr Pinzgauer really well prepared as an expedition vehicle, which looks awesome!

Stage 2. Uruguay

 

Uruguay was not in our initial route but we are lucky that we change it because we liked a lot the coast of that country.

In Montevideo we didn’t make any tourism, we were just running from a place to another organizing the paperwork needed to pick up cactus.
